AOL DSL

Hi. I have a new question. I don't know if anyone has it, but I was told that u can use Linksys routers with AOL, but you need the Firmware 1.42.7a10 I don't know how or where to get this. If anyone has any information on this please let me know. I have had no lucky with the AOL DSL routing. Thanks.

I can't say if that will work to get AOL running with the Linksys, but all the firmware updates are on their web site at

http://www.linksys.com.

The upgrade process is straightforward.

Having the firmware update isn't really needed, but does help.

I used to use AOL, they became more problematic over time as well as more expensive.Also some software dont like them without some patch, thats why some say "AOL friendly"There kind of like Microsoft, insisting on doing it their way. You might try someone who'l let you do it your way.
