I have recently been asked to have a look at a friends PC. He has just purchased AOL Broadband but having a problem connecting. Basically, the modem is installed o.k but isn't connecting.
It will connect every minute or so and then drop after about 2 seconds.
He has had BT out to check the phone line and apparently they replaced the box and said all was o.k. I have changed filters but still getting the issue. It is set up so its connected to the wall with one filter, no extenstion anywhere.
I suspect theres still an issue with the line, but I just wouldn't mind a second opinion.
