Anyway to link calendar items directly to tasks?

I have tasks and I want to link my calendar items to them directly. I don't want to use categories because my boss and I use different categories as well that doesn't really "link" them.

I was thinking you could open a task and then drag the appointment into it but then you don't see the link in the calendar portion.

Any idea's or is this just impossible?
