I know the 7912 doesn't have a mute button, but does anyone know if there's any way of doing something in the CallManager software, perhaps through the templates, to introduce a mute facility? We're doing a lot of conference call meetings, where general background office noise can be disruptive, but the users of the 7912 phone can't do anything about it.
 
The 7912 is a half duplex speaker phone and can be used to monitor in hands-free mode. Can the users put the call on speaker and monitor the call?
 
Thanks for the update. Using the monitor facility is an option, but the issue is the open office. The people around won't want to listen to the conference call, and it may not be appropriate for others to hear.
