HI, I am writing a proposal today. I would love to try and get something in there on presence. Does anyone know if the IP Office offers any kind of presence functionality?

By presence you mean you can see if someone is on a call or idle or logged out ?
If yes then that is possible

Its more to do with convergence and showing whether you prefer to take calls on your mobile, instant messenger, land line, home, or email. Whether you are "On-line" or not.

Then i think you should search the knowledge base

You can set mobiel twinning so you can decide if you want it on your phone or mobile phone

You can not send a call to instand messaging but you can integrate with CRM and let it instand messaging pop up
You can send a voicemail to email or just a notification

there is quite a lot of detail on presence in the avaya sip for dummies book, it is available to read online somewhere, but how much of it relates back to the IPO i cant be sure

In Scandinavia we use 3rd party precense systems a lot to inform callers where you are and when you're coming back.
You can also divert your phone to different destinations depending on what you do.

This seems to be an unique demand here though, seems like other countries have secreteries for that =)
