Hi

I just like to hear if one of you had the chance to play around with some IP-DECT Gateway.

My question is about which radios will work with which IP-DECT Gateway.

The point is, there is such a gateway and corresponding digital (4-wire) radios from AVAYA.
As you know, they are the same like the ones labelled Aastra, Ascom, Ericsson, and some more.
In addition, AVAYA has older DECT radios from Bosch/Integral.

What does work with what?

I was told, Ericsson radios (BS330) will not work with AVAYA IP-DECT Gateway. I'm 99% sure, they are the same. It's probably a different firmware. Isn't it possible to load the AVAYA Firmware onto the Ericsson radio?

Many thanks!

You need the Avaya ISDN basestations.
Nothing else will work.
But i really wonder if Avaya ever old on for 12.000 dollars per gateway.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks Peter

Did you try it or is this just 'what's in the book'?

What about the same IP-DECT gateway from Ascom? is it possible to use the Ericsson radios _and_ use them with IPO, using 3rd-Party IP Endpoints, I guess.
We do not want to keep the old PBX in service...

I never even seen one as it is 12.000 freaking dollars (or euro's even)
It is way too expensive.
And no you cannot use the Ascom versions.
