I have a client who is using Peachtree 8.0xxx, We are working on moving them to Windows 2000 or XP. They have got to get off of Windows 98!!!!. Does anyone have any suggestions, as which would be best for Peachtree 8?
I run several versions of Peachtree on XP. No problems there. However, have had some problems having 98 machines access the XP on a simple Windows network.
What types of problems are you having? I'm looking at the peachtree files on a XP machine being accessed across the network from a mix of XP and 98 machines.
Think I just don't have the 98s set up right to read the XP. Can't look at it from either one at all. Hasn't been a big problem because I normally only look from the XP.
We are lokking at XP because of the massive instablity of Windows 98, The client is using 98 on a peer to peer, with one of the clients hosting the data files, as well as accessing the files themselves. We are considering running Windows 2000 on the peer to peer, or XP, There will be at least 1 98 machine accessing the data files on the big peer.
