I'm in the middle of an installation with the vendor on site and there are some questions about how the AMcom system uses a CTI RP with 911. The application notes for the Cisco implementation are vague or else or are just not complete & the vendor rep only knows his product and not the interface.

Thanks!

I was thinking of going with this product. Do you have it installed yet?

We've been using it for approx 12 years on a MITEL platform with near flawless performance. Currently in the process of migrating it to CISCO. (does far more than CER) We bought an entirely new AMCOM system (license & hardware) so we can keep the old system up and running on the Mitel system until the Cisco is fully debugged and running. The vendor is on site this week and we're hoping to be able to cut it over tomorrow evening.

A very good company. They've been through some recent mergers that kind of upset the applecart and lost some key people in the process, but the ones who stayed seem very dedicated.

GREAT SUPPORT!!

An update...

The upgrade to the VOIP version has been somewhat problematic. We have the interface to the call manager working OK, but their engineer/installer has been struggling to get it all working. Optimistic they'll figure it out. Onsite engineer originally scheduled for only 3 days has been here 6 days.... and counting. We all took a break for the holidays, will re-tackle it next week. Not really an issue for us as we still have the old (also Amcom) system running on the Mitel and for now we're simply routing all 911/9911 traffic to a Q.SIG trunk group on the Mitel. In fact the Mitel (large SX2000 Lite system) is 99.9% decommissioned except for 911. Once Amcom gets the new platform up and stabilized I'll probably leave the Mitel in place for a few more weeks just as a hedge.
