Anyone upgraded to Pervasive 8.5?

With Pervasive ending support for 2000, we're starting to get inquiries from some customers regarding upgrading to Pervasive 8.5. Most are electing to take the MS/SQL route, but some want to stay on Pervasive for at least another year. Has anyone upgraded a Macola client from Pervasive 2000 to Pervasive 8.5, and if so, any problems/benefits/things to watch out for?

Pervasive 8.5 is what Exact now sells. They do not sell v8. We have installed it at a couple of places with no great issues that I know of.

Is it best to do a fresh install of Pervasive and Progression nstead of upgrading?

I would just upgrade. I have done 5 or 6 of these, it is no problem whatsoever.
