please do not consider this spam. i have nothing to do with this product/company but would like informed opinions of those that are using it.

Looks interesting, eyec. Their linux release isn't available yet but U'll give it a crack when it is. It's a nice concept, very small and easily stored on a memory stick for when you travel around.

Be useful for people that need to use customer's machines and want to make sure that they don't leave any information behind.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.

What do you think about this?

New secure browser Browzar is fake and full of adware

Social news rave about Browzar - they claim it a new secure browser leaving no footprints. After looking at it closer, I found out that it’s not a browser at all, and moreover, this software thrusts search via it’s own PPC-SE full of ads on user.

yes, i read that and another article that says basically the same thing, but it also only does half of what it says on erasing your tracks. it still leaves traces of a web page in the cache.

so much for the better mouse trap.

If your that worried, just install an eraser type program.

I pee'd myself when I heard it "covered your history when at work". Soooo it goes on the proxy and deletes the files does it....Mmmmm

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.

they are still arguing over if it does what it says and whether or not it is spy/adware.

final analysis (for me) - i do not think i will use it.

wonder if AV/Spyware programs will include it in their definitions?

Downloaded it and had a go ...... seems to have "done things" to the laptop :-(

In theory the idea is a good one - bare shell, no frills, no history, but

I'm sorry, but as soon as I read that Browzar is essentially an add-on for IE, I zapped the idea.
I have tried many of these so-called "browsers" that piggy-back IE for the core functionality, and every time I found the same IE mistakes and limitations shine right through. I have concluded that it is not enough to "paint over" bad wood to make it good.
Browzar is just another coating on a rusty base. Whatever it really does does not concern me - I'd rather use a real alternative browser. There are at least two : Mozilla and Opera. I'm sure you can find others.

Pascal.
