It would be nice to see a "Big Three" (ie, Linux, Novell, and Windows) in a desktop/LAN race... JTB

Well, I did a lot of studying in the last couple years because certs were all the rage... now I'm having to work at work instead of studying at work... ;-)
But having been playing the IT game since about 1976, I guess I've had a head start on some of the readers here...
I did plan on doing the Novell Certified Internet Professional route until they sold it to Prosoft :-(
But there's still a chance if they can take advantage of the soft market... they need to increase their stuff before my boss'll pay for more training...
Oh, I knew what the MCIWD was; I just never saw it with those letters. I was thinking about doing the Master CIW Administrator track. Were the exams tough?

Ahhh.. that's right... I apparently need more attention to detail, glasses, or something... Sorry!
Were the exams tough? I'd say yes. Well, you had to either take the class or hang out with the web folks long enough for stuff to rub off on you--a sometimes painful process!
The tests were worded a bit differently than I expected. But, since they're not pushing M________ or C____ stuff, they cover a wide range of other OS, HW, SW, etc...
So, in-between taking tests, what do you do to support your certification habit? ;-)
Sorry, no other accounts!!! But it is a cute suggestion! I guess my "well-reasoned" and "sensible" statements just struck a nice chord with someone...
No, I responded to you, read the Cisco and Microsoft boards, came back here 20 minutes later, and I'm very pleasantly surprised!! Thanks to whoever did that!
Yeah, thanks michigan. I actually figured it out after I sent the post. I'll give you a star too for explaining things. Everyone in this thread should get stars now
