It would be nice to see a "Big Three" (ie, Linux, Novell, and Windows) in a desktop/LAN race... JTB

JTB,

Good grief, how do you find enough time to study for all those exams !

BeeAppy.

Well, I did a lot of studying in the last couple years because certs were all the rage... now I'm having to work at work instead of studying at work... ;-)

But having been playing the IT game since about 1976, I guess I've had a head start on some of the readers here...

What is CTE and MCIWA? Are you doing Novell, since afterall, we are in the Novell Cert Forum? Just curious.

CTE = GartnerGroup _C_ertified _T_otal Cost of Ownership _E_xpert

MCIWD = Prosoft _M_aster _C_ertified _I_nternet _W_ebmaster _D_esigner (
I did plan on doing the Novell Certified Internet Professional route until they sold it to Prosoft :-(

But there's still a chance if they can take advantage of the soft market... they need to increase their stuff before my boss'll pay for more training...

Oh, I knew what the MCIWD was; I just never saw it with those letters. I was thinking about doing the Master CIW Administrator track. Were the exams tough?

Ahhh.. that's right... I apparently need more attention to detail, glasses, or something... Sorry!

Were the exams tough? I'd say yes. Well, you had to either take the class or hang out with the web folks long enough for stuff to rub off on you--a sometimes painful process!

The tests were worded a bit differently than I expected. But, since they're not pushing M________ or C____ stuff, they cover a wide range of other OS, HW, SW, etc...

So, in-between taking tests, what do you do to support your certification habit? ;-)

How do you have a star after each of your posts? Are you giving yourself a star with another account?

Sorry, no other accounts!!! But it is a cute suggestion! I guess my "well-reasoned" and "sensible" statements just struck a nice chord with someone...

No, I responded to you, read the Cisco and Microsoft boards, came back here 20 minutes later, and I'm very pleasantly surprised!! Thanks to whoever did that!

Please. The second you post something you have a star? Sounds kinda funny to me.

Not that I'm complaining or anything, but who is giving jtb a star after every single post he makes and immediately after he makes it?

C'mon. He gets a star for explaining why he has the stars? Gimme a break.

Chris

I agree!!! This is getting rather silly!!!

Basically, if one star is granted (anywhere in the thread) it follows that user thoroughout the entire post.

I voted for fluid once. . . just to prove my point. And, so he wasn't feelin' left out! :)

Yeah, thanks michigan. I actually figured it out after I sent the post. I'll give you a star too for explaining things. Everyone in this thread should get stars now:)

Hahaha!

((2nd Post BeeAppy gets a star, too!))
