We have a requirement where one server (AIX) with Digiboard C/X ports, needs to communicate with a remote server that will only talk TCP/IP. Does anyone now of or recommend a device that can bridge these two links together seamlessly? Remember, we cannot install drivers on EITHER server.
I would be most grateful if someone has any suggestions?

Thanks

Bob

Seamlessly? Can you define "talk?"

What I'm getting at is there are things that will adapt Telnet to a serial port, but this is usually only one way. The serial port usually looks like a Telnet client, not a server or vice versa.

Here is one example product:

I have no experience with it, but I'm sure there are others as well.

I'll bet a PC with a multiserial card of some sort and the right software could do this for you too of course.
