Hi,

I have an error handler emailling me of any template errors by my users. I got a handful last week, stating "ia_archiver" as their browser...

I figure this may be some kind of search robot or similar, but wondered if anyone knew more.

"ia_archiver" is all it send from #Error.Browser#, where #Error.RemoteAddress# was giving different, but incremental IPs...

Just interested to see if anyone has any ideas..

Cheers

Hey bigKev,

ia_archiver sounds like alexa.com's spider.

You can find more info about them at:
From what I hear it can cause a little trouble some people have banned it from there site. But I haven't personally had any bad experience with it.

Check out this thread for more info also:

Thanks tl,

Went to Alexi.com and sent them an email asking about how to get spider friendly. Cheers for the advice.
