Anyone managed to create an MSI for DX9c?

I need to deploy DX9c to about 100 Win2k PC's and would like to do this using an MSI, i'm having trouble creating a usable MSI has anyone else managed it?

microsoft .exe installs generally work by decompressing an msi in the background, and then executing that to install the program.

check your temp folders after starting the .exe, but before clicking install on the dx9c setup.

I'll take a look again i have tried already as i know most Win apps do this these days, Sun Java and Adobe also do this but i couldn't find it.
