I've seen pages that when ran, they have Adobe Acrobat reader right in the web page. Does anyone know how this is done?

Thanks ahead of time

bigfoot Gary, a lot of browsers have a plugin that enables browsers to read a PDF (Acrobat) document. There's scripts available out there that can check if a browser has the right plugin, both for VBScript and Javascript. Once a user with this plugin clicks a link to a PDF, the Acrobat document will show in the browser window. Hope this helps...

Where can I get the Acrobat plugin for Explorer. Adobe has no clue. They never have to knock if your door is always open.

I am not sure, but I think Explorer 3+ has the plugin installed by default. Also, users will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (available for free on the Adobe website).

When you click on a file that IE doesn't know the format to, it checks with Microsoft over the net. If plug in exists, it gets it.

You might want to upgrade your IE.

We purchased Acrobat full version (reader/writer). It does not come on that disk, but you get it when you d/l the reader.
