A year or so ago we decided to install WSS3.0 on one of our SQL Server boxes. Saddly upon conifugration, we could not find on db binary, nor could we get the App to run.

We uninstalled WSS 3.0; however since then we are constantly recieving error 18456 and upon further search I found this KB Article
I have tried this, though there is no database on my SQL Server.

What other choices or possibilities do I have other than uninstalling and reinstalling SQL 2005?

maybe not a clean uninstall. sounds like something is still looking for the DB. try and see if you can find anything in the reg keys or a service still left behind or something

Sadly I have no clue as to what I need to look into.

All I receive within that error is:
