I have my computer configured to shutdown the monitor whenever I like. I also can press the power button to enter standy/suspend mode. My question is: When in the whole system is in standby, how active is the system in terms of firewalls, backgroung apps like Seti@home and genome@home, and anti-virus apps. I would assume these apps are still active.
Thanks
Jon

When in standby - the PC is only looking for a "turn on" signal, no processes should actually be running.
