Merry Christmas all, got a bit of a poser for you........
As is usual for time of year I'm getting lots of home visit requests from people who haven't talked to me for years but have just bought a new P.C. for Christmas !!! The fact that I know nothing about home P.C. set - up seems irrelevant to them !
One of them unfortunately is a senior partner in the company I work for so I have to have a go......
Using MSoft XP , IE 6 with 128 bit encryption, SSL2 / SSL3 both ticked in security options and NTL broadband-----a combination that I know works. Whenever he tries to access a secure internet site it returns a "Cannot find server" It is fine with any other unsecure site and I know the sites I'm trying to access are up. Any suggestions would be appreciated......that's if you're not all down the pub by now !!!!!
