Im sick and tired of one of my schools clogging up the print que because (teachers were to ****** lazy to check if the printer was ready to print.. no paper!!!!! always the best!!! even though the warning came up they delete the message and continue to send more traffic..

What i looking for is a message system were as you send to print a ballon appears warning them to check that the printer as sufficent paper and that they have to read and acknowlege it!!!

Stand up wherever you are, go to the nearest window and yell as loud as you can, 'I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore.'

Dear Schtek,

I have heard of this problem many times from the schools that I support here on the east coast. HP and Lexmark printers are notorious for this. Just recently, Xerox has come out with a multifuntion printer that has setting a print que right on the machine. This allows for people to be able to print when a certain size media has run out. Its like a built in work around. But most of the xerox printer lines now have software called CenterWeb that can sit in your system tray next to your computer clock that will tell you that the printer is out of paper.

I currently use a Xerox Phaser 4500, Phaser 8550, and a C2424DP and all three give me the message when low on ink or media.

Let me know what machines you got so I can see if there is a freeware software that could help you.
