Anyone have experience with Aloha and NCR Coin Changers? (NCR 2010's)

Hi all -

I have two NCR 2010 (Gerbo) coin changers I am trying to add. Can't get them to work.

They didn't come with cables so I am using a standard DB25 to DB9 serial cable.

I have my terminals configured in Aloha to use them on COM1, type set to NCR.

Coin units initialize properly (one short beep) and Aloha FOH initializes the coin changers as well (when they are off or not connected I get a FOH error).

When I tender a check no coins come out, no response from the changer.

Does anyone know anything about these units?

What are the proper COM port settings?

Can I create a terminal session with it and send it commands directly (not through Aloha) to test the units operability?

Do I have to configure something else in Aloha? Perhaps change my 'change due' settings?

Any help or knowledge would be really helpful as I can't find any support for these products...

THANKS!

Is there an option in tender maintenance ('Provide Change'?)that must be set? I am not familiar with QS, but knowing Aloha, this may be the case.
