I need to install webmin on an existing machine running 4.2.1 and upgrading the OS is NOT an option. Any one have a binary install for this version OS of webmin???

Thanks for anyone who has or knows where. UCLA and BULL do NOT have one for this version.

Well, that makes sense. But what if one doesn't have a "c" compiler. And that's assuming that it is written or contains "c" modules. However, I thought webmin was a perl project and if so why won't it run after I've untar'ed the 0.88 distro onto the machine that is primarily running perl?

The webmin page has all the instructions you need to install webmin. Following the directions, and downloading a couple of necessary files it took less than 20 minutes to get it going and connect remotely. I did this after someone suggested webmin as a possiblity for remote command. I know relatively little about aix(I'm from the windows world and have some experience in solaris only)...Just read the directions and follow them. It's easy.
