Anyone Familiar with EC-Council

can anyone tell me whether or not EC-Council Certifications are (see ec-council.org) accredited or widley known as quality certifications? i know the ethical hacker certification is becoming well known, but want to know if the network security exam 212-38 or e-business security exam 212-25 are worth pursuing.
