I am at a site that somehow got convince to buy 120 GB USB drives for backup purposes along with Veritas 9.0.

Now, this is the problem as Veritas does NOT support backing to USB drives at this time (during the wizard feature it could not see the drives). But they are there.

Ssomeone has pointed a piece of SW that does it but cost wise well its about 4K. Yikes.

I gather that for now I am going to have to use NTBACKUP for my backups and such. Unless, I find a away to backup to the USB drives.

Backup exec will not use a USB device as a hardware device.
Goto The Devices tab in backup exec. There is a option for Backup to Disk Feature. The USE drive should show up as a drive letter on the OS. For example E:. Right click on backup to disk and "new backup folder". For the Path put in E:\disk1 , etc or just E:\ . There are two types of backup to diks folders you can create. You will want to create a removable backup to disk. When you configure your job, goto the devices on the job propertie and change it to the backup to disk folder name.
