I have obtained one of the above machines, which is running a Sun Ultra processor, and Solaris 2.6
This machine has both Sun keyboard and mouse as well as PS/2 (PC Style) keyboard and mouse ports.
Does anyone know how to get Solaris to recognise the PS/2 keyboard and mouse. I have both used the original installation, and re-installed using the PS/2 keyboard. I just keep getting a message that the keyboard and mouse were not detected, and Console is being redirected to TTY1.
I have also tried installing Solaris 9 to see if that helped but it didn't. I have also e-mailed RDI based in Cambridge (UK) and got an initial response, asking about the spec of the machine then nothing. An internet search shows up very little on how to do this.
Andy help would be appreciated. Also, are there any other Sun machines which support PS/2 keyboards & Mice?
Cheers,
Andy
