Right now we have (3) PIX515E feeding our network(s) from 3 providers. We have 150 IPSec VPN clients connected at any one time. It looks like the Anyconnect can replace the IPSec client but will we have to purchase the correct number of SSL licenses to make the Anyconnect work ?

Thank
Norm

You don't need SSL licenses if you just plan to use the AnyConnect client and not the full SSL features. You can purchase an AnyConnect Essentials license that allows you to have AnyConnect clients connect up to the maximum you can with IPSec clients.

This is a on/off feature enabling license so isn't a per-seat thing like the SSL licenses.

And its massively cheaper... I looked at this for a customer a couple of months ago and for a 5510 AnyConnect Essentials license it was $150, for a 10-25 User SSL VPN license it was $1895.

Yeah that was getting a little scary looking at the 250 SSL figure
