I have got two networked computers and want to use the same internet connection for both. Does anybody know a good site with the basics to get a beginner started?

at the top of this page there is a 'Links' button ... there are a few links there.

thanks but i had a look and couldnt find what im after.
I do have to set up proxy dont I to have two PCs using same Net connection. Is it pretty simple?

pretty much ...

scenario:

computer A has connection to the internet, somehow (serial, usb, network ...).

computer B wants to use computer A's connection.

solution:
computer A runs proxy server, and connects to internal network (be it a serial to serial, or a 10/100/1000 network)
computer B runs a proxy aware client (I.E. Netscape, Opera, Hotjava, wget ...) and connected to the same internal network (be it serial ...)

if you're running windows 98 you might be able to use the internet connection sharing thingamy that comes with that. if not then there are loads and loads of proxies out there:

for example will probably proxy almost anything.
