Haven't heard of anything like that , might want to check your power supply feeding this switch . Do a sh version and see if it says anything in there why it rebooted or if it just shows a normal poweron . Sometimes it will say why it rebooted if it was a code or memory problem .
There was a field notices issued a while ago regarding some of the internal PSU's whereby a momentary surge would switch the switch off. I think some trip-switch was invoked and with the power connected the switch would remain off and the only fix was to remove and re-insert the power. This may not be your issue but it might be related. Maybe check out the field notices and bugs, check whether your serial number is affected.
