I have a client who has been inundated by pop-ups. Done everything I could to get rid of them, only clue I had was I kept getting these messages, (up to 20 at a time), that 180search Assistant had been removed by a third party program, and wanted to re-install itself, needing Internet Access to do so. (I'm guessing Spy-bot or Ad-aware did it.) Funny thing is when I went to kept trying to re-direct me to which is not the same. Trend micro home scan kept getting re-directed to Not good. I finally got everything worked out, but the ad's keep popping up. Turned off messaging, (XP), and turned off PnP, (A third party file sharing program I found out). I'm not sure if 180search started this or is a by-product of something bigger. The client just called me and he can't get at his e-mail for the pop-ups. I told him to right click on the task bar and select close. These folks are aggrevated. Ideas?

Run Spybot and CWS Shredder as well, spybot picks up a lot

Ran spybot and ad-aware first thing.

Thanks for the thoughts. I'll look into CWS Shredder.
