I have a FC6 box that I loaded XGL and Beryl on but when I go to initiate them it simply closes out my session...

I have an nvidia e-Geforce FX 5500 (PCI) video card...
Could it be a driver or xorg.conf issue??

Thanks in advance...

JP

Hi, I wouldn't say that I am a guru but it looks like you are using the open source NV driver.(From your device section for your graphics card)

You should install either nvidia-drivers or nvidia-legacy-drivers (I think your card is new enough to use the latest nvidia-drivers) - nvidias website should have some RPM's and which cards work. These are the closed source drivers released by nvidia themselves.

Hope this helps :)
