Any way to retrieve a sent message before it's read

I know I've been told that this can be done, but I've never figured out how. A message is sent which you want back - it has not yet been read. Can I get it back ?

I'm sorry - I should have said that I'm using Outlook 2000

open the message from the send folder. pull down action and select recall.

Thanks a lot ... that worked. It is not perfect, because it still leaves a message in the recipients mailbox - then, when they attempt to read it they are informed that it has been recalled. Nevertheless, this is the solution I needed.

Thanks, but the only thing that came up had to do with posted newsgroup messages rather than email messages.
