I have data migration jobs fail every now an then for different reasons. Most of the time you can not select the failed job and run it again because it fails and so does the makeup job. Is there a way to manually migrate that data to tape from the hard drive?

I am running ArcServe 11.5 SP2 doing a staging job to SAN then to tape.

Not sure exactly what you want to do, but if you want to backup data to tape and then delete the files from the disk then setup a backup and select Global Options, Operation, Delete Source Files After Backup to Media.

This may be a little late, but the method you would need to use is the Brightstor command line function called 'tapecopy'.
As an example, to Append all multistreaming sessions from a given destination group (example=GROUP1) and master job ID (example=232)to a tape named 'mytape' and destination ID F56, session=1, use
tapecopy -d GROUP1 -qMID 232 -c mytape -idd F56 zd -1

This is taken from the Brightstor program Help section on Tapecopy.
