We are running Netbackup 5.1 mp4 on Win2k3 Standard. We want to use the bpdbjobs command, BUT we also need more information...like the total amount of bytes written, start/end times, successful/fail/success with errors, etc...so is therer any way to basically export what activity monitor shows and just send that via BLAT or is there a way to take a snapshot of Activity monitor and send that to a file where I could grab it in the AM?
ANY help/suggestions would be GREAT.
Thanks you guys.

Set the activity monitor up to look like you want it to be then simply select export from the drop down menu under "File"
It will ask you where you want to place the file and will suggest $INSTALL_DIR\Veritas\java\Export1.txt
Once you export the file then you can open up excel and bring it into the spreadsheet. Use delimited with space and tab. It will need a little bit of cleaning up.
If you have an Excel guru they could create a macro for you to use.

Just because the VERITAS documentation states a certain thing does not make it a fact and that is truth.

That's a great start Stumpr...BUT, we're looking for something automated...so is there ANY way to do the export option...but have it use the AT command or something along those lines...even if it's froma NetBackup Script or something that makes a call to the Activity monitor export option, then does a blat mail of that .txt file?

you can play around with bpdbjobs -all_columns, but good luck!
