any way to add another Item Type on an inventory Item?

Only Item Types I can see are 'Sales Inventory', 'Discontinued', 'Kit', 'Misc Charges', 'Services', 'Flat'

I am wanting to put our raw materials in here and none of these 'types' really are appropriate.

Ideas?

You can't unless you modify the window and don't know how would it work? use user defined field to define raw material type and then you can pull information as per your user defined fields

item type dictates various options on how the rest of the item is set up. You cannot add to it as it's part of the coding.

You can however use other fields like the user defined fields or create your own in VB or some other sort of product like extender.

and they wonder why they call it Great Pains!

you two have confrimed my fears - I have added the raw materials as Sales Inventory much to my chagrin and much to our new partner's disappointment (YES! - a partner that knows GP and is willing to listen and submit possible changes up the line - hooray for my side! - ok, so they are about 1,000 miles away but I will take the long distance support over no knowledge).
