Hi,

I have a fact table that has revenue by account manager in it. These account managers match the MSTR login ID's for the system users. Is there a way to filter the data that each account manager can see by dynamically detecting their user id at report run time and passing it to a filter?

Thanks in advance.

you need a security filter setup. Check out the system admin guide. I suspect you will need Command manager to speed up the process.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I already have a complex company/departmental security filter setup; and really only want to apply this data filter in certain reports. For example I am happy for an account manager to see the departmental or company revenue report, but I don't want them to see the data grouped by account manager due to personal reasons / bonus's etc.

I was hoping I would be able to add a filter or something to the report which might be like account_manager@id=sytem_user@id or something like that if I can detect a session or login details I can merge this in with my account manager table.

Do you think there may be a way to do this using SDK?

Thanks in advance.

supposedly coming out in the next release...
