got this question from a practice site for the ccna exam:

I think the answer's B, E and F. FTP, Telnet and SMTP are prohibited via the access list.

Which of the following types of packets will be allowed entry when a serial interface’s inbound access list
has been configured to prohibit entry for TCP and UDP ports 21, 23 and 25? (Select three options.)

A. SMTP
B. STP
C. FTP
D. Telnet
E. HTTP
F. POP3

Answer: A, C, F

You would be correct. STP is a layer 2 protocol, HTTP uses port 80, and I forget what port number POP3 uses (110?). Forgive me on that, it's friday and I haven't had coffee yet.. :)

Agree also, POP3 == Port 110/tcp, STP (not allowed in a ACL), and HTTP is port 80/tcp...

I would say, they are all rejected because at the end of a ACL there's a deny all.
Right?

Hey good point. And you should definitly think like that when you take the test. Especially for the sims. The permit any statement is important.
