I'd go for C and view the routing table.

You are a technician. You are troubleshooting a connectivity problem on the network. You want to isolate the problem. You suspect that a router on the route to an unreachable
network is at fault.

What IOS user EXEC command should you issue?
A. Router> ping
B. Router> trace
C. Router> show ip route
D. Router> show interface
E. Router> show cdp neighbors

Answer: D

eggedd2k,

Keywords are isolate and route - "You want to isolate the problem. You suspect that a router on the route to an unreachable network is at fault."

Answer "B" Router>trace would show each "hop" on the route from point "a" to "z" - this command would tell exactly (isolate) where the breakdown is along the path(route) to "z".

C would be more likly if they said that you were having a routing problem - then you would want to see the routing table with show ip route.

I hope this helps!!

eggedd2k,

Are you saying the answer is D, cuz I would go with CiscoGuy on this one.

I agree, B is the best answer I guess.
Since it's stated in the question that "You suspect that a router on the route to an unreachable network is at fault" using show int won't tell you much, unless the broken connection is between you and one of directly connected routers.
