Maybe not the reply that you expected but Citrix is officially not supported by Cognos. But it should work fine. Be aware of the "user dependant" files and registry settings for both PowerPLay and Impromptu: like the cognos.ini and the impromptu.ini. Each different user(group) should get its own version pushed when connecting to one of the tools via Citrix. A Citrix administrator should know how to do this
Yeah, the biggest tip is not to tell Cognos you are running it on citrix if you have non-citrix related problems and require support, or else you wont get anything out of them!
I agree with the above post.......I can also suggest that you make sure that all your citrix servers are setup identically (software versions / file directories for cognos / ini files etc) to avoid problems and inconsistencies.
Some of the problems that we had were with users having citrix sessions 'disappear' while still running queries on the datbase which can be a bit of a hassle, but nothing you cant deal with.
Thanks esselinj and JGirl. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but thanks for the info. I guess a little time "playing" with it is in order. Thanks again.
