Does anyone have any thoughts on Asterisk vs. BCM?

I wouldn't run my business with an asterisk...
We've replaced few asterisks with bcm's, never the opposite..!

You need good programming skills or a good programmer.
I've heard that the interface is improving but still can't compare to a bcm.
We had to install a Bcm in a rush because the customer failed the audit with his asterisk.
I suggest you do some reading in Asterisk forums.

Two Words....Open Source.

If going this direction, Be prepared to take the Good with the Bad.

It has awesome feature sets and virtually no licensing, but...

Without proper implementation, it could get ugly.
