hi there, citrix presentation server 4.0 running on wk23sp1 server

on & off, we got some idled user session which user can't reconnect, so i usually kill the idled session via w2k3 terminal service manager, it works for me anyway

wondering to kill idled user session, is there any technical different between "terminal service manager" and "mgmt console of presentation server" ?

many thanks!

zaccaz,
Should be no difference at all.
Citrix is just an application that rides on top of TS so there shouldn't be any difference.

You might want to look into setting some idle connection settings in the CCC (Citrix Connection Configuration) so the idled sessions can be closed out after a preconfigured time.

Hope that helps.

A little late but might help for future. You may find that setting the ICA- Keep Alive settings for Citrix will prevent the "we got some idled user session which user can't reconnect" the keep alive will determine if the session is still active, if not "disconnect it" at which stage users can reconnect to the same session.
