Having programmed exclusively in MS Access (VBA) for the last few years, I am a little rusty on base VB. I have a need to learn .Net asap, and have a budget for books and CBTs. So... any suggestions on Books/CBTs? I did look at but could not find anything else that offered their depth. tia,

You'll probably want to find a good book that deals with Object Oriented Programming, as well as .NET. Do a search on Amazon, and be sure to check out user reviews to determine which books would be best for you.

I've just recently started the CBT on Java2 from LearnKey, and I'm impressed. It is designed for programmers who have a clue but need the specifics.

For example, it would have taken me a while to figure out why my code wasn't working if I didn't learn that Java is case sensitive. I don't need an introduction to variables, but understanding the different primitive datatypes available and the "class wrappers" and how each is initialized was very useful.

Good luck!
