I have 7 large files at home that I want to get to work (about 40 mb's worth), but have no CD-R, or tape storage to copy the files to.

I dont fancy having to e.mail 40Mb as it will take ages from home.

Is there any software that can split up a large file into small chunks to enable them to be stored on floppy's then I could put them back together again at work?

Much Appreciated,

Ben Smith

Try using winzip. YOu can download it from tucows.com - it will allow you to span diskettes.

Hope this helped. [sig][/sig]

I would get a CD-writer, they've been getting cheaper lately. I don't much like splitting files for floppies, or spanning disks. The problem is if one of the disks is corrupted, or gets wrecked, the whole file could be screwed up. You may not be able to remove it from the disk if this happens. Floppies tend to be faulty 1 out of 10. Also you could think about an LS-120 which will allow you to have one 120MB floppy disk. [sig]<p>John D. Use The second email if the first doesn't work.[/sig]
