We use the IBM 7043-140 boxes as servers in our shop. Recently we've been so impressed with Linux as an x86 server we've decided to try it on one of our IBM boxes with the intent to hopefully migrate all of them.

We have purchased the SuSE 7.3 PPC version but cannot seem to get to the point of booting. We've created the appropriate floppy-install diskette, ramdisk diskette and gotten to YaST2 and installed the OS to the point of complete and then reboot. That's it - cannot reboot.

If anyone's gotten a distro to work on this model please start a dialog with me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not so sure but I knew that you should use the Suse 7.3 PPC only for macintosh computers, I think that you should use The intel version, I do not know your computer but I think that it is using and intel processor.
