I'm taking a class via New Horizons for my A+, which is going good, but I study while at work, and at home. I'm pouring through 3 different sources for info. While at work I use Certguide.com, where you read a chapter, then take a 20 question quiz immediately after. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I'm consistantly getting around 70% on the quiz right after reading the material. How come the info isn't sinking in!!!....lol

trudawg,

Get yourself a few old computers on eBay and then as you read something - DO IT ON the computers for REAL !! Take them apart and put them back together!

Install Windows again and again and again - when they talk about a file - go into Windows and find the file and look at it - where is it - what does it do, why is it important. Same for a hardware part, if you do not have that part - Google it and see what is out on the web about whatever it is that they are asking about!

YOU WILL LEARN IT !!

I think it is much easier to remember all this if you are learning by doing!

Hands on is the best way to learn exactly what they are talking about !!

Hope this helps!
