I seted up a ypserver in Solaris 2.7,
following the document yp set up procedure in
docs.sun.com,
such copy file from /etc/ to a directory,
and passwd file to another directory,
remove root and other unneceassary user from "passwd"
and "shadow",
modified /var/yp/makefile,
make; and ypinit -m,

restart the machine,
then I seted up ypclient in a redhat 6.2 Intel machine,
and Soalris 2.7 sparc,

both the two clients can only ypcat "hosts" "passwd"
ypwhcih return server name,
and if I login in as a nis user,
Neither the clients can login ,

why ?

thanks for help

Redhat 6.2 client now work properly,
but Solaris 2.7 still doesn't work,
when I add new user,
I can change passwd of the user but fail
logining,

Thanks
