Any other way to use (*.csv) source files?

Hi, I'm (*.csv) source files and when I create a "Database Files" type connection, the "Access/Excel (DAO)" driver is selected by default and it is really slow when I change a data source (30 sec) so I'd like to use another driver for those files, any ideas?
