Any other way to pass credentials..?

I am trying to find out if this is correct, if you login using cached mode and have a drive that is mapped or you are trying to map, as soon as you establish a vpn connection to the network will the cached credentials be used to validate the user or will you still be forced into supplying these separately via in a script where you hardcode them in?

I believe the cached credentials will pass through on their own when you click on the mapped drive. It may not show mapped until you click on it.
