They security dongle for the second cabinet is labeled as REM (meaning REMOTE). The security dongle for the main cable in labeled STD or a standard dongle. If you will look on the security dongle where the ID number is, you will find the STD or REM. The REM must go in the second cabinet SSC card. THE ELAN does not come into efect for the (remote cabinet)IP remote. Only the IP connection coming off the IP expansion daughter board counts. Make sure the MAC address of the remote daughter board is correct when programing the IPR in the Main Cabinet. When connecting with fiber, you must transpose the rec and trans fibers. If you are going through a data network and using CAT 5 patch cords, the IP for the IPR/IPM must be able to be routed. Should also be in a VLAN. The daughter board in the remote cabinet must also be in the bottom position on the SSC card for it to work. Will NOT work in the top position on the SSC card.
Sorry for the long winded reply.
