I have configured a solaris 9 as DNS and mailserver

DNS part is up. Then I installed tcp wrapper and edited inetd.conf for this tcp wrapper and enabled ssh login..

But I am getting this problem and not able to send messege anywhere but I am receiving mail

error logged from syslog says :-

/etc/mail/sendmail.cf : line0 : cannot open : permission denied

and when I give tcpdchk :-

warning :/etc/mail/hosts.allow: line 1: warning portmap: service not wrapped properly

warning: .etc.mail/hosts.allow: line 4: warning sshd: service not wrapped properly.

PL pl pl help fast !!

"Then I installed tcp wrapper and edited inetd.conf for this tcp wrapper and enabled ssh login."

sendmail doesn't use inetd ... but does have an entry in services. My guess is you'll need to look at the docs for tcp wrapper.

unless the tcp-wrapper changed to permissions on sendmail, or changed the sendmail configuration i don't believe this is a sendmail problem.
