Is there anything new and good in the 2010 package.
I was hoping there would be some kind of folder storage for queries...I run lots of queries -- would love some kind of project storage container....to keep it easier to find things.

There are a lot of view options for objects, including custom views. Probably the most interesting new development is the closer integration with Sharepoint and web development. From Albert D Kallal:

"Here is a video of an application I wrote in access 2010. Note how at the half way I run the same application including the Access forms in a standard web browser. This application was built 100% inside of the Access client. The end result needs no ActiveX or Silverlight to run.

That sounds pretty interesting, Remou. I'll have to take a look at it at home, since we're not privileged enough where I work to view youtube videos. [cry]

Pretty cool.

'Course, I'm still excited that I just recently found out about 2007's ability to store Rich text in table fields, as well as show it in Textboxes in forms. Yippee! That gave some new possibilities for a redo of a database I built several years ago for our church. 'Course, most people won't even see it, but basically with the rich text deal, I can put somewhat of a Bible program built into the database. The database is primarily for storing information about sermons - title, preacher name, date, subject matter, scripture passages, and of course a file ID for locating the audio, video, text files. In some ways, it's probably just an excuse to play in the database, but I think it really would prove to be useful to the one person who handles the sound board/mixer during the church service... who is the same person who records, saves, labels the service/sermon files.

But that's 2007, so I guess now it's starting to get old. [wink]
