Any known Hardware incompatibilities with 7200vxr and NPE-G2?

I have an older 7200vxr and trying to install new NPE-G2 doesn't seem to fit chassis correctly. Cannot find anything on cisco.com that talks about this.

7204 or 7206? And your are positive it is a VXR. make sure that you have the slots aligned, or the slots in the chassis are not bent.

I was told it was a 7606, and it's a vxr. It had NPE 400 installed. Any way that you know of to verify it's a 7206vxr?
Serial number?

It would say 7200 VXR on the front and if there are 4 full length slots it is a 7206 and if three then it's a 7204.

If it is a 7600, you have the wrong platform.
